These examples require an understanding of the order of operations (BEDMAS).

-7-4+2=-11+2=-9

-7-(4+2)=-7-6=-13

4-3*5=4-15=-14

(4-3)*5=1*5=5

20/(-4)*2=-5*2=-10

12*(-3)/(-2)=-36/(-2)=18

7+(3-(6-2))=7+(3-4)=7-1=6


Treat a fraction like a bracket:

-9/(-3+6)=-9/3=-3
