Mixed Differentiation

Mixed Differentiation Problems 2

We assume that you have already done the first set of mixed problems and merely want more practise. These problems can all be solved using one or more of the rules in combination.

Exercises

For each function obtain the derivative.

  1. y =(2x^7 - 7x) over (3x^7 + 7x)
  2. y = (sin (x + 4) − 22)3
  3. y = 45 − 6x
  4. y = (5xx2)e1 + x
  5. y = e to the power of the square root of ( 2x - 17 )

  1. y = ln cos 5x
  2. y = 1 − x3e−9x
  3. y = (3x minus 5) to the power 3 over (2x plus 1)
  4. y = 6 to the power of the square root of x
  5. y = (1 + 2x)(3 − 4x)(5 + 6x)

  2. y = (2x  plus 3) over (x plus 1)
  3. y = (4 − x)(3 + x2)(2x4 + 1)
  4. y = ln (4x + 3)x
  5. y = 3 over ((x squared plus 5x) times (2 minus x))

  3. y = (5 minus 4x minus x squared) divided by the square of ( 2x minus 3 (x squared) - x cubed)

  5. y = e to the power 3x divided by 2 to the power (1 minus x squared)
